Lanvin Joseph LeBlanc passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on January 5, 2025 at the age of 67. Beloved husband of Charlotte Matherne LeBlanc. Loving father to Krissy Boutte (Daniel), Lainee Mamolo (Dean), Kayla LeBlanc, and Megan LeBlanc (Kelly). Loving grandfather to Emerson, Landen, Olivia, Royce, Cullen, Noah, and Evelyn Angeline. Son of the late Angeline B. LeBlanc, the late Gareth LeBlanc, Sr., and stepson of Carolyn B. LeBlanc. Son-in-law of the late Antoine “Roy” and Betty Matherne. Brother of Gareth LeBlanc, Jr. (Lydia) and Keenon LeBlanc. Brother-in-law of Glenn Matherne, Terry Matherne (Patricia), Joyce Matherne, Louis Matherne (Debra), and the late Rickey and Arthur Matherne. Also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and Godchildren. Lanvin was a commercial fisherman and an avid hunter. He often spoke about the struggling shrimping industry and encouraged many others to do the same. He loved hunting with his family and friends at his “Happy Place” in Alabama, his home away from home. Lanvin loved nothing more than being at his camp with his entire family. He was definitely the family social butterfly and never met a stranger. He was outgoing, talking to anyone he came across and always making new friends. He loved telling stories and cracking jokes. There will never be another Lanvin LeBlanc from Lafitte. He will be greatly missed by so many.
