Larisia Edinburgh Jones

Larisia Edinburgh Jones, the beloved daughter of the late Aloyd T. and Beatrice August Edinburgh, entered eternal rest surrounded by love. She was the devoted wife of Rondall J. Jones Sr. and the adoring mother of William Kennedy III, as well as the loving bonus mother of Rondall Jones Jr. She was the cherished sister of Octavia, Aloyd, and Theodore Edinburgh (Emelda), and Joycelyn E. Freeman (Wilbert). Larisia was the doting grandmother of Asia R. Jones of New Jersey, Cameron and Nia Jones of Virginia, and Seddrick and Shane Reynolds. She was a treasured aunt to Germaine, Katera (Kevin), Godfrey, Da'Shana (Devin), Bryson (Ashley), and Joseph-Michael of Texas, and the devoted Godmother of Stella Reynolds and Treschell and Ayanna Howard. A proud graduate of Joseph S. Clark High School (1976) and Southern University at New Orleans (1980). She began her professional career at Shoe Town and then joined the Accounting Department at Coleman E. Adler's Jewelers on Canal Street. Larisia later received her Cosmetology Training and License from Sidney Collier Community College. A talented entrepreneur, she owned and operated Larisia's Beauty Salon, where she built lasting friendships with many lifelong patrons. As an educator and mentor, she shared her passion for cosmetology as Program Director at My-Le's Beauty College and, most recently, at Delgado Community College – Sidney Collier Campus. Larisia's legacy of love, dedication, and service will forever be cherished by her family, friends, colleagues, and students whose lives she touched. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, 8200 I-10 Service Road, New Orleans, LA 70126.
