Larry Wilson Abston, 67, of Jackson, passed away on January 15, 2025, at Jackson Medical Center with loved ones by his side. Larry was born on May 23, 1957 to parents Woodrow Wilson and Lennie Pearl Abston. Larry was a Volunteer at Jackson Fire Department for many years. He loved his animals and he always enjoyed fishing. One of his favorite hobbies was collecting guns and knives. Larry and his brother enjoyed going to the gun and knife shows when they came around.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Sherry Abston; and son, Chris Abston.

Survived by his daughter, Suzanne (Ed) Arrington; six grandchildren, Alyssa (Jake) Brannon, Macie Arrington, Juliana Abston, Kaylee Abston, John Clayton Abston, and Cade Abston; one great grandchild, Camden Briggs; brothers, Jerry Lee (Amberly) Abston, Marshall (Michelle) Abston; nephews, Jrayden Abston and Cooper Abston; as well as numerous other relatives and dear friends.

Services will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Lathan Funeral Home, Jackson. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the Memorial Service begins at 3:00 p.m. under the direction of Lathan Funeral Home.

Honorary Pallbearer is Roland Hutchinson.
