Larry E. Anders, Sr., 76, of Palmerton, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 22, 2024, at St. Luke's Hospital-Carbon Campus. Born in Hellertown, he was a son of the late Norman Sr. and Dorothy (Weaver) Anders. He was a graduate of the former Hellertown High School and entered the U. S. Army serving during Vietnam. He worked for Bethlehem Steel for many years until its closing and then worked for Bastion Carpet One in the warehouse for many years until retiring. He was raised in the Lutheran faith.
Survivors: He is survived by his son, Larry Anders Jr. (Wendy Ressler) of Bethlehem Twp., grandchildren, Olivia Anders, Kyle Decker, Trent Anders; nieces, Donna Hibbler and Dana Mihulec. He was preceded in death by his brother, Norman Anders Jr.; sister, Dorothy Mihulec and niece, Doris Mihulec.
Services: Services will be private. Arrangements entrusted to James Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Larry, may be made to the Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors Inc.,1013 Mumma Road, Suite 203,Wormleysburg, PA 17043 ( www.pawoundedwarriors.org).

A Vietnam Veteran has passed away today. Larry, you are now relieved from your post. A job well done fellow Vietnam Veteran. We all are grateful for your stepping up to the plate when your country needed you the most. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. The final volley has sounded and taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation“s defender. Farewell fellow veteran.
