Graveside services for Larry Warren Barthen, 78, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Emerald Hills Memorial Park in Kennedale, Texas.
A visitation will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Sexton, Jayson Johnson, Robert Rohrbaugh, Ronnie Jones, Mark Sutherland, and Charles Cagle; with Bruce Barthen and Bill Bowers serving as honorary pallbearers.
Mr. Barthen passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born November 6, 1945 in Watertown, South Dakota, the son of Freda (Porter) and Joseph Barthen.
He was a retired supervisor with Harbison Fischer in Crowley, Texas and was of the Christian faith. Mr. Barthen loved old cars, Cushman scooters, traveling, and dancing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John and Edward Barthen; and sisters, Betty Dickerson, Carol Sexton, and Enid Nevins.
Mr. Barthen is survived by his daughter, Shelly Johnson and husband, Jayson, of Paradise, Texas; granddaughter, Vada Johnson; brother, Bruce Barthen and wife, Cecilia, of Show Low, Arizona; forever friend, Linda London; and many nieces and nephews; other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the charity of your choice.
