Larry Edison Buffkin Sr.

Larry Edison Buffkin Sr., 81, of Elizabethtown passed away peacefully early Friday morning, July 22, 2022 at Elizabethtown Nursing Center with his special granddaughter, Nicole, holding his hand. The entire day and night prior to his passing, Larry was surrounded by his three children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends, who filled his room with love and laughter as they reminisced on the many good times that were shared together.Larry was born on December 27, 1940, in Horry County to the late Emerson Roscoe Buffkin and Frostie Roberts Buffkin. Larry is survived by his daughter Cathy Buffkin Mazur (Cam Mazur) of Elizabethtown; two sons: Larry Buffkin Jr. (Cristan Carroll) of Elizabethtown and Davie "Pete" Buffkin (Sherri Buffkin) of Bladenboro; two sisters: Ann Giguire of Little River, SC and Rachel Bulliner of Conway, SC: three grandchildren: Jason Bagwell (Glenda Bagwell) of Elizabethtown, Nicole Buffkin Elmore (Bransford Elmore) of Fayetteville and Tanner Buffkin of Lumberton; five great grandchildren: Brandon, Kaylee, Kassie, Morgan and Bransford Jr. "BJ"; special family: Jennifer (Cory Russ), Mandy (Mike Fief) and children. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 am on Monday, July 25th at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home Chapel in Elizabethtown followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow the services in the Bladen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of Larry Buffkin, Jr. 10669 Hwy 41 West Bladenboro, NC 28320.
