He moved to Dalton in 1969 where he started and sold several carpet businesses and worked well into his 70's. Larry was a top runner in his age group and was often seen running along Walnut Avenue for over 30 years. Later, his name was always atop the Wellness Canter attendance board. He enjoyed playing golf, staying fit, reading, eating with his "lunch bunch," UGA football, and visiting his favorite place, Siesta Key, FL where his ashes will be spread.
