Larry Wayne Chambers, 79, of Mooresville, passed away Friday, October 3rd, 2025. He was born January 28th, 1946 in Vincennes to his parents Elmer Lee and Hazel Elizabeth (Steinbaugh) Chambers. He married Mary "Carolyn" (Harrell) Chambers on February 7th, 2009.

Larry is survived by his wife, Mary Carolyn Chambers of Mooresville; two children: Terry Chambers of Indianapolis and Lacy Ogles (Chris) of Morristown; three grandchildren: Jessica, Jonathon, and David; two great grandchildren: Benny and Harper; and sister, Patty Chambers.

Larry is preceded in death by both of his parents; son, Larry Wayne Jr.; and brother, Jerry Chambers.

Larry was a member of the Decatur Central High School class of 1965. After high school, he worked as a dairy worker in the processing department at Crossroad Farms for 35 years before retiring in 2000. He was active in his community as a member of Life Line Baptist Church in Camby. Larry loved spending his time restoring and showing antique cars, and he had a special fondness for his 1940 Chevy Coupe. Most importantly, he cherished his family and held them close to his heart.

Family and friends may show their love and support for a memorial gathering from 12 to 1 pm on Saturday, October 18th at Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville. A memorial service will be held at 1 pm following the gathering at the funeral home. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville.

Memorial contributions may be made in Larry's memory to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741
