He is survived by his wife, Brenda Chism; daughter, Stacy Johnson (Brad); son, Scott Chism (Sandra); grandchildren, Caitlyn Chism, Jake Compton (Shelby), Brittney Crook (Ridge), Regan Johnson, Holland Johnson, Ayden Johnson, Kya Johnson, Emma Johnson, Dax Johnson and baby bug; great grandchildren, Macey Crook, Maverick Compton and Maddox Compton and several special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Eula Chism and great grandchild, Kaden Johnson.
Funeral service will be on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Langston Methodist Church with Lynn Baker officiating. He will lie in state from 1:00pm till 2:00pm. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home. The burial will be in Langston Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Aveanna Hospice for their loving care of Mr. Chism and his family.
