Obituary for Larry Joe Coker
Larry Joe Coker, 80, of Mineola, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 8, 1945, in Dallas, Texas, Larry was the cherished son of Marshall Eric Coker and Ruth Francis Tittle Coker.
Larry built a long and respected career as an Operations Manager with Honeywell International, where he was admired for his strong work ethic and leadership. After retirement, he devoted more time to his passions and faith. A devoted member of First Baptist Church in Mineola, Larry served faithfully as a deacon and finance director, embodying the spirit of service in all he did.
A man of many interests, Larry loved gardening and yard work, often spending peaceful hours outdoors. He was an avid sports enthusiast, enjoying both watching and playing baseball and basketball. However, his greatest joy came from time spent with his family-especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he adored deeply.
On March 27, 1965, Larry married the love of his life, Lynn Evans Coker. Together, they built a life grounded in love, faith, and family.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Lynn Coker; son, Wesley Craig Coker and his wife, Suzanne; daughter, Amber Corneil and her husband, Brian; sister-in-law, Louise Coker; grandchildren, Emily, Avery, Joshua, and Jarrett; and great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Nora. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Coker, and his sister, Marlene Coker.
Larry's life was a testament to faith, dedication, and unconditional love. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Click here to view live stream
