Lawrence "Larry" Duane Colburn, known to his best friends as "Cotton" and "Ham Bone," age 72, of Olive Branch, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026. He was born in Moline, Illinois on March 4, 1953 to the late Cecil and Mary Colburn.

Larry was a welder by trade. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and doing almost anything outdoors. He loved animals, cooking out, and just spending time with his family, especially when it came to going camping and hanging out at the lake with them. He was funny and sarcastic but would help anyone who needed it – he would give the shirt off his back for anybody.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Geneva (Abbott) Colburn, whom he knew he would marry the moment he met her; daughters, Chastity Chandler (David) of Coldwater, MS, and Charity Tamboli (Jason) of Hernando, MS; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters; and his best friend, Bo Haislip, whom he considered to be a brother.

A memorial service will be held at Graceland Christian Church, 2126 Stateline Road East, Southaven, MS, on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 11:00 am.
