Larry Gene Driggers

Latta - Larry Gene Driggers 87 departed from this world on January 8, 2025 to go be with his Heavenly Father. Larry was born in Little Rock, SC on October 8, 1937, to the late Douglas Bradford Driggers and Irene Huggins Driggers.
He attended Latta High School before going to the University of South Carolina and North Greenville College. He retired from the American General Insurance Company after working 30 years of service. Prior to that he worked for Kress Department Store and later as a small business owner and was involved in many civic organizations.
Larry was a devoted church member and husband. He taught Sunday School for sixty-seven years up through last Sunday and was a Deacon for sixty-five years. He likewise served on numerous church committees and took several mission trips throughout his life to Ukraine.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Britt Driggers of Latta, Sons, David (Rebekah) Driggers of Greensboro, NC, Paul (Barbara) Driggers of Latta, Daughter, Gina (Adrian) Snow of Clemmons, NC, a Step Son Johnny (Marie) Hyatt of Dillon, SC. Grandchildren, Kassie (Michael) Barnett of Scranton, SC, Kevin (Erin) Driggers of Simpsonville, SC and Macy Snow of Clemmons, NC, and 4 Great Grandchildren, Evan, Elizabeth, Olivia and Brodie. A sister Patricia D (George) Lopez of Ojai, CA and several step grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years Elizabeth Caulder Driggers and a Stepdaughter Karen (Gene) Horne of Dillon, SC.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Little Rock Baptist Church with Ron Taylor officiating. Interment will be at Magnolia Cemetery in Latta. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service in the sanctuary of the church. Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon is assisting the family.
