Larry Ray Dunn

Larry Ray Dunn passed away peacefully in his sleep on 12/18/25 at the age of 74 following a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Rhetoric from the Communications Department at Memphis State University, now University of Memphis. Before and after graduating, he worked in television production at WKNO-TV (PBS), as a news videographer/editor at WHBQ-TV (ABC) and WREG-TV (CBS), and sports film production manager for Memphis State University before going into freelance business for himself as owner of Selkend Media, named after his daughters' initials. During this time, he worked with numerous corporate clients and independent producers doing various aspects of film and video production. He also produced over 40 segments for WKNO's Southern Routes magazine show, three of which were nominated for a regional Emmy award for editing. He also served as coach for his daughters' basketball teams at Lindenwood Christian Church for several years.
He is survived by his wife, Sally, of over 50 years; his daughters Sarah, Lauren, and Emily; his brothers James, John, and Mark, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by his mother and father, Lucy and Harry Dunn and his brother Dan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his honor be made to The Lawrence J. Goldrich Institute for Integrative Neuro-Health at Eastern Virginia Medical School/Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA.
