Larry D. Ellison, 70, passed away at 4:00am on Friday, April 14, 2023 at his home in Littleton, Illinois. Larry was born on October 6, 1952 to Elmer and Virginia (Buchanan) Ellison in Dickson, Tennessee. He met the love of his life, Zoe Bassham in 1984 and they were married on June 12, 1987, in Florida. 

Larry graduated from Manual High school; then joined the Army in 1970 where he served in Indochina, Vietnam and Germany. He was awarded the National Defense Service and Vietnam Service medals, the Bronze Star and his Sharpshooter Badge. He was honorably discharged in 1976. 

Larry enjoyed watching old Cowboy Westerns, (John Wayne was his favorite Cowboy) He loved target practice with his grandsons and spending time with all of his grandchildren, his family, and his friends. 

Larry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Larry was preceded in death by his parents. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Zoe; and her son Christopher Hoshor (Cary) of Roanoke, Illinois; two grandsons, Ethan, and Kadin, (who cherished him); and granddaughter Alexis; as well as two step-grandchildren, Ashley, and Seth; Brother Jim (Patricia) Ellison of Heartsell, Alabama; sisters, Linda Ohlwine of Michigan City, Indiana, Donna (Pete) Thornton, of Peoria, Illinois, and Kathy Stoute, of Wilmington, South Carolina. 

Larry chose to be cremated and have no formal services, however there will be a Celebration of Life for Larry at the family home, 9406 D'Camp Rd, Littleton, IL 61452, 12:00pm and 2:00pm on Saturday, April 22, 2023, and anyone who knew Larry is welcome to attend.
