Larry David Fluhr Jr., 57, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2025, in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. Born on March 7, 1968, in Louisville, Kentucky, he was the beloved son of Larry and Dorothy Fluhr Sr.
Larry was a devoted son, father, brother, and grandfather whose love for his family was unwavering. He was known for his big heart, strong work ethic, and outgoing spirit. His presence lit up any room, often with a joke, a story, or his signature no-filter sense of humor that left everyone laughing. A little sarcastic and always genuine, Larry had a way of making people feel welcome and at ease.
He was an avid animal lover and shared a special bond with his dog, Ozzie, who was his constant companion. Larry found peace and joy in the great outdoors—whether casting a line at the lake, traveling to favorite places like Gatlinburg or Hawaii, or just soaking in the beauty of nature. Music was a huge part of his life, especially the classic sounds of rock legends like AC/DC, Fleetwood Mac, and Journey. He was also a loyal fan of the UK Wildcats, cheering them on with passion and pride.
Larry leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Rest easy, Larry. Your spirit, humor, and love will live on in all of us.
Larry is preceded in death by his ex-wife, Chantel Fluhr.
