Larry Gene Fullner, age 81, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee.

Gene was a man of principle—hardworking, generous, and deeply committed to his family. Gene lived a life filled with purpose, integrity, and a strong sense of loyalty to those he loved. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Geraldean “Gerri” Fullner; his parents, Ken and Teresa Mae Fullner; and his brother, Norman Fullner.

Gene is survived by his children: Devon (Gina) Fullner, Aaron (Crystal) Fullner, Amber (Dave Radtke) Fullner, and Damon Anthony (Angela Cipriano) Fullner; and his grandchildren: Donavon (Larrissa), Denae (Austen Hammerstrom), Sidnee, Jakob, Dylan, Savannah, Matthew, Aiden, Luke, and Connor. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Declan, Quinn, Willow, and Rush. He is lovingly remembered by his sister, Wanda Fullner, and his cherished cat Kelley and dog MiaBella.

Throughout his life, Gene wore many hats—literally and figuratively. He was a skilled mechanic, a licensed registered nurse, a savvy businessman, and a talented guitar musician. As the owner of Fullner Auto Sales, he was known in the community for his honesty and dependability. He also found joy in restoring lawnmowers for resale—a small but telling reflection of his knack for bringing things back to life and making them useful again.

Gene had a deep love for music, especially country and rock & roll, and it was during his time as a band player in Las Vegas that he met the love of his life, Gerri. Together they built a family rooted in strength, laughter, and shared meals—especially when dessert was involved. Gene never turned down a sweet treat, and he especially treasured the times when family gathered around the table to eat, talk, and simply be together.

He was a man who always showed up—whether it was to help with a repair, offer financial guidance, or lend an ear. His legacy is one of steadfast love, practical wisdom, and the belief that a strong family name is one of life’s greatest achievements.

Gene loved to explore the beautiful state of Tennessee, often finding peace and joy in its quiet roads and rolling hills. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit lives on in the lessons he taught, the stories he shared, and the family he so dearly loved.

A graveside service will be held on September 23, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbia, Tennessee.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages loved ones to spend time with those they cherish—and never pass up dessert.
