Services for Larry William Godfrey, 60, of Blum, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Cleburne Bible Church. Burial will follow in Blum Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are Lonzo Williams, Dale Dixon, Thomas Bushong, Bernarn Bushong, Chad Bushong, and Fidel Ledezma, Jr. 

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larry Godfrey, who peacefully departed on Saturday, July 20, 2024, in Blum. Born on June 12, 1964, in Cleburne to Robert Lee and Dorothy Maedell (Dowdy) Godfrey. He married the love of his life Laurie Diane Bushong on February 12, 1983, in Cleburne. Larry devoted his career to Age Industries as a machine operator mechanic, showcasing his dedication and skill in his work. Recognized for his no-nonsense demeanor and strong work ethic, he was a hardworking individual who left a lasting impression on those around him. Despite his serious exterior, Larry had a playful side and was known for his sense of humor. Larry will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Laurie Godfrey; children, Christie Williams and husband, Lonzo, Colt Godfrey and wife, Sylvia, and Chance Godfrey; siblings, Tonya Dixon and husband, Dale, and Robert D. Godfrey; grandchildren, Letty Godfrey, Christian Williams, Jurnee Williams, and Jackson Williams; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Eleanor Godfrey; and parents, Robert L. and Dorothy M. Godfrey.
