A graveside service for JoAnn Burt, 90, of Burleson, will be held at 3:30 PM on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, in the Rosehill Cemetery at 906 E Second St., Cleburne, Texas 76033 with Rev. Kenneth Coleman officiating. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Crosier Pearson Funeral Home.
JoAnn Burt, born on September 27, 1935, in Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025. A beloved figure to many, JoAnn was known for her warmth, humor, and unwavering love for her family, friends, and, of course, her dogs.
Throughout her life, JoAnn cultivated rich relationships with her family, including her niece, Genia Christine, and her husband, Patrick, as well as her nephew, Raymond Coleman and his wife, Donna, niece, Carla Jo Nations and her husband, Carey, and Jimmy Nelson with his wife, Nancy. She cherished her role as an aunt and took great joy in the lives of her numerous great nieces and nephews. JoAnn’s laughter and stories will linger in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
As a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, JoAnn found joy in the thrill of the game, bringing excitement and passion to each football season. Her ability to tell stories that could bring a smile or a hearty laugh to others was unmatched, making her a cherished companion at gatherings.
JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Pauline Huggins, her brother Carl L. Burt Jr. and her long-time friend, Maybelle Nelson.
