A visitation and gathering for Annie "Beanie" Meek, 86, of Godley will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home, located at 512 N Ridgeway Dr, Cleburne, TX 76033 on Thursday, October 16, 2025. where family and friends have the opportunity to gather for fellowship, pay respects and share memories with one another.
Annie "Beanie" Meek, a beloved figure known for her vivacious spirit and unwavering love for her family, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, in Cleburne, Texas. Born on November 30, 1938, in Hammond Louisiana, Annie brought joy and warmth to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Annie was a devoted wife to her late husband, Junior Meek. She often fondly recalled their life together, sharing anecdotes that showcased her pride in his many achievements. Her husband lovingly called her "Slim," often playfully reminding her, "It's show business Slim," a reflection of their spirited relationship and shared laughter.
As a party planner and social butterfly, Annie thrived in the company of friends and family. Her greatest joy came from watching her son, Robert Wood Jr., and grandson, Jasper Wood, excel at rodeo events. These moments filled her heart with immense pride and joy, as she cherished being a key spectator in their lives.
Annie is preceded in death by her husband, Junior Meek, and her parents, Jim and Serena Mack.
She is survived by her son, Robert Wood Jr., and daughter-in-law, Tammie; grandchildren, Jasper Wood and his wife Elizabeth, and Cheyanne Braswell and her husband Patrick; great-grandchildren, Wilder Wood, Oliver Braswell, Kellin Braswell, Lila Wood, and the soon-to-be-arriving Serena Braswell; her sisters, Jimmy Lou Vasser and Pat Engler, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Annie’s joyous soul and legacy will continue to inspire her family and friends, reminding us all to embrace life with open arms and a loving heart.
