Larry Gross Obituary

Larry was born in Manchester, PA on July 31, 1948 and was the son of the late Grover G. and Dorothy R. (Sprenkle) Gross. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and worked for Voith Hydro for over 38 years until his retirement. Larry was a self-taught musician and enjoyed playing the guitar in numerous bands. He was also an avid mountain biker and a member of St. Paul (Zeigler's) Lutheran Church in Seven Valleys.
In addition to his loving wife Yvonne, Larry is survived by his daughter Tammy Cope and husband Jay and Michelle Nace and husband Joel; his grandchildren Zachary, Brady, Baylee, Donovan, and Breckin; and his sisters Susan Garrettson and Robin Kline and husband Robert. He also leaves behind his faithful dog Ollie. Larry was preceded in death by his granddaughter Jazmine Rae Cope who passed away on November 26, 2010; and his siblings Linda Gross, Carol Harris, and Dennis Gross.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Larry's life will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 2:00PM at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., of Spring Grove, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove, PA 17362 with Pastor Troy Miller officiating. He will be laid to rest following the service at St. Paul (Zeigler's) Lutheran Church Cemetery in Seven Valleys with military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 1:00PM – 2:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
The Gross Family requests that those attending the services wear casual dress and Philadelphia Phillies attire.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Larry's memory may be made to the New Freedom Animal Rescue, 2 Heritage Farm Dr., New Freedom, PA 17349 or to Tunnels to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
