Larry Kent Hackworth, 60, of Abilene passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025, in an Abilene nursing home. No services are scheduled at this time.
Larry was born April 1, 1964, in Alexandria, Louisiana to Lee and Patsy (Jones) Hackworth. He attended Abilene High School. Larry was disabled at a young age but had a passion for Harley Davidson Motorcycles and he loved helping his brother fix and build them. He loved his kids, grandkids and great grandkids and will be missed by many.
He is survived by his mother, Patsy Cline of Vernon; his stepmother, Val Hackworth of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; three children, Cassie Hobbins and husband Thomas of Abilene, Kent Hackworth and wife Tiffany of Clyde and Levi Elliott and wife Ashley of Lubbock; one brother, Danny Reppond of Cheshire, Oregon; three sisters, Rhonda Hord of Florida, Glenda Hackworth of Mississippi and Shelliey Cline of Vernon; sister-in-law, Patsy "Shorty" Hackworth of Elgin, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Kellian Wolfe and husband Wyatt and Mavric Rubner Hobbins and wife Victoria. all of Abilene, Jesse Hackworth and Jaden Hackworth, both of Clyde; three great grandchildren, Aelin and Thomas Wolfe and Mikey Rubner Hobbins; former wife and friend, Mary Frances and many other relatives and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Lee Hackworth; stepfather, Doug Cline and two brothers, Alan and Tommy Hackworth.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at The Oaks of Radford Hills Healthcare Center for all of the care and compassion given to Larry during his time with them.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Larry's memory to Meals on Wheels, 100 W. 4th St., Suite 302, Baird, Texas 79504 or the charity of your choice.
