Larry Dale Hanson

Hanson, Larry Dale, age 76 of Remer, a beloved husband, dad, papa, brother, and friend, passed away on December 6th, 2025. He was a proud and stoic man, yet deeply caring and thoughtful-a steady presence whose love and dedication shaped the lives of all who knew him.

Preceded in death by his parents Harold and Grace. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Jane; his children, Jason (Tracy) and Jon; his cherished grandchildren, Ella, Wyatt, and Kiera; and his great-grandson, TJ, who brought him special joy. He is also survived by his siblings, Sharon (Oly), Pam (Del), Roger (Sue) and Ron (Heidi), each of whom he loved dearly.

Larry honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era, a chapter of his life that instilled in him a quiet strength and sense of duty. After his service, he spent 27 years working for FedEx, where he was known for his reliability, hard work, and the friendships he built along the way.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Larry rarely missed a game-especially when it came to Gopher hockey, which he followed with unwavering loyalty. His enthusiasm for sports was matched only by the pride he took in his family.

Larry fought until the very end, showing the same resilience and dignity that defined his life. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of strength, love, and quiet kindness will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 11th at Washburn-McReavy Glen Haven Chapel (5125 W. Broadway Ave., Crystal) at 1pm with visitation one hour prior. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
