Larry W. Harrison

Larry W. Harrison, age 84, Springfield, passed away Wednesday, December 8th, 2021, at Cox Hospital South.
Larry was born December 14, 1936, in Springfield. He was a graduate of Springfield Senior High School. Larry was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was united in marriage to Saundra Williams on September 2, 1956, in Springfield, MO. Larry retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after more than 33 years of service. Larry was involved in community service, and in his church, where he served as a Deacon. He was instrumental in the building of South Haven's first mission church in Springfield, and His Majesty's Church, in Rogersville. Larry was very active in his grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's lives. Larry and Saundra are members of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Saundra; two sons, Clint Harrison and wife Julie, and Greg Harrison and wife Robin; step-sister, Carol Serutine; five grandchildren, Kim Raymond, Kristin Marshall, Joel Harrison, Hezekiah Harrison, and Destin Harrison; 10 great-grandchildren, Jaden, Tyler, Madison, Cooper, Jacob, Kaylee, Zach, Ben, Zev, and Aviv; and a host of family and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Bertha and Jess McIntosh, as well as his step-sister, Wilma Pattenson.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm, Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 14th, 2021, at 2:00pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home South, with burial to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made in Larry's name to Petra Ballet Company or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
