Our loving husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully on Monday, September 16, 2024 at the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center. He was 75 years old. Larry Bernard Heinrich was born on October 27, 1948 in Saginaw, MI to the late Bernard and Glenna (Buehler) Heinrich. Following high school, Larry joined the United States Air Force and proudly served his country for five years. After his honorable discharge, Larry returned to Saginaw and worked for General Motors for over 30 years, retiring in 1999. Larry loved sports including football, softball, basketball, hockey and fishing. His love of the game would shine when he played and coached. In his younger years he affectionately was named "Loaded Larry", and his life of the party spirit will live on with all who loved him.
Larry is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lisa Heinrich; daughters: Stephanie (Jay Proux) Barr and Layne Heinrich; grandsons: Zachary Barr and Brandon Barr; four great-grandchildren: Ellianna Barr, Zaiden Barr, Isaac Barr and Silas Barr; brothers: David (Claudia) Heinrich and Ron (Stacey Bader) Heinrich; several nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Larry was preceded in death by: parents; sister, Sandra Olson.
SERVICE: In keeping with Larry's wishes, cremation has taken place. A time of gathering for family and friends will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd., Saginaw, MI 48603. Larry's final resting place will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
