Larry Donnell Hinton

Larry Donnell Hinton of Jacksonville, Florida entered eternal rest on February 17, 2023 at the Baptist Medical
Center in Jacksonville, Florida. He was the son of the late Warrenton Hinton and the late Roxie Mitchell
Hinton. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Clifford Leo Hinton and his sister, June Hinton.
Celebration of Life Services will be Saturday, February 25, 2023, 12 noon at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist
Church Chapel, Elizabeth City, North Carolina with Rev. Antonio Williams, Eulogist. Visitation/viewing will be
Friday, February 24, 2023, from 6–8 p.m. at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church Chapel. Masks are still
required for all services.
Larry is survived by his fiancé, Verna Summerville of Jacksonville, Florida; two brothers, Warrenton Hinton Jr.
(affectionately known as "Buddy") of Florida, and Karl Hinton of Colombia; four sisters, Selinda Metoyer
(Mark) of Florida, Elores (Sister Mama) Griffin (Melvin), Jacqueline Poole (Warren), and Claudette Hinton
(McEll) all of Elizabeth City, North Carolina; one aunt, Aline Gallop; one uncle, George Hinton; a host of
nieces and nephews; special children, Michelle Williams (Sean), Corey Taylor, Edna Deloath, and Michelle
Bell; special granddaughters, Saniya and Liana Williams; fraternity brothers, along with his extended family,
and many friends he gained over the years.
