Larry Duane Horde, age 88, of Sault Ste Marie, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc.
Larry was born on March 20, 1936 in Flint the son of the late Elwood Harris and Mary Spohn. He graduated from Flint Central High School. Larry proudly served in the United States Air Force until his honorable discharge in 1963. He worked for many years as a meteorologist for the National Weather Service until his retirement. Larry enjoyed sports from baseball, football and golfing.
He is survived by his sons, Toni (Judy) Horde, Larry Horde Jr. and Anthony Horde; daughter-in-law, Toni Horde; grandchildren, Brandon Horde, Derek Horde, Ashley (Jared) McCoy and Cheston Horde; several great-grandchildren; and brother, Bill (Phyllis) Horde.
