Larry Wayne Hunter, 72, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.
Larry was born in Evansville, Indiana on February 2, 1953 to the late Leroy and Betty (Groves) Hunter. He retired as a trucker driver from Power Line in 2014. Larry enjoyed watching football, especially the Indianapolis Colts. He also enjoyed playing pool and boating on the Ohio River with his friends. Larry was an avid dog lover, especially his two dogs, Daisy and Molly.
He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of seven years, Debbie (Mandel) Hunter of Evansville, IN; daughter, Misty Gray (Randall Rayshell) of Evansville, IN; sister, Brenda Crawford (Ron) of Evansville, IN; brothers, Doug Hunter (Teresa) of Evansville, IN and Gary Hunter of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Justin, Brittney and Dayton; four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his son, Jason Hunter; his parents; and sisters, Vicki Agent, Regina Stephens and Linda Miles.
A celebration of Larry's life will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Steve Clayton officiating.
Friends may visit from 2:00 pm until service time on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Browning Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Vanderburgh Humane Society, PO Box 6711, Evansville, IN 47719.
The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses from the 3rd floor of Deaconess Midtown for their compassionate care of Larry.
