Larry James Obituary
LJ was born on September 20, 1946 in Peoria, IL to the late William J. and Dorothy Irene (Goodin) James. He married Judy L. Johnson on May 26, 1968 in Chillicothe.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Judy; his son, Corey James; his daughter, Cara (Jeff) Streitmatter, both of Chillicothe; five grandchildren, Madesyn (Logan) Berkley, Colton Streitmatter, Emma Streitmatter, Caleb James and Jase James; his siblings, Jon (Diane) James, Dave (Kathi) James and Becky Gillespie, all of Chillicothe; as well as many nieces and nephews.
LJ served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War before starting at Caterpillar as welder. He retired from CAT after 37 years. LJ enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking.
Cremation rites will be accorded and there will be no services at this time. Memorials in Larry's name may be made to OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home or Freedom Paws Service Dogs. Arrangements are under the care of Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
