Larry Dean Keller Jr., 70, of Harrison, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025. He was born on August 14, 1954 in Linton, Indiana, to Dean and Helen (Mowery) Keller. He married Janet Elaine Stockrahm on August 24, 1972. She lovingly survives. He is also survived by his children Gina Boardman (John), Nathaniel Keller, Emily Bagazinski (Jon); loving grandchildren, Alexandra Boardman (Lee Johnson), Jaclyn Boardman, Kyle Boardman, Grayson Callahan, Milly Callahan, and Colette Bagazinski; sister, Lynn Hobbs (Rick). Larry was preceded in passing by his parents and infant brother Lee Keller. He will be missed by many friends from high school, college, work, and cycling.
Larry was a devoted family man, lifelong Boilermaker, and lover of the outdoors. A graduate of Shakamak High School's Class of 1972, Larry went on to earn a degree in computer information systems from Purdue University. His loyalty to Purdue never wavered-he was a passionate fan who made sure everyone knew where his allegiance stood.
Larry dedicated much of his professional life to Hill-Rom in Batesville, Indiana, where he worked in the auditing department until his retirement. His attention to detail and strong work ethic left a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike.
Beyond his career, Larry lived life fully and actively. He was an avid cyclist, participating in long-distance events such as the RAIN Ride and RAGBRAI Ride. He also had a competitive streak, channeling it through tennis and weekly bowling matches with friends. His interests extended to photography, a hobby he pursued with both passion and talent, often capturing the beauty of his travels and the people he loved.
He found joy in traveling, hiking, and backpacking. But nothing brought him more pride than supporting his children-especially in their sporting events, which he rarely, if ever, missed. Larry also gave back to his community, serving for many years as treasurer of the Harrison High School Athletic Boosters.
Larry had a special connection with his beloved dogs. He walked them faithfully and passed that love on to his children. Fittingly, his last two dogs were named Amelia (Earhart) and Mackey-a Purdue visiting professor and the university's iconic basketball arena. They were constant companions and a joyful part of his daily life.
Larry was a member of St. John Church at Broadway and Sycamore. He found peace and joy in simple pleasures: reading, listening to music, and spending time with his grandchildren, whom he adored.
Larry's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He lived with purpose, loved fiercely, and gave generously of his time and talents. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched-with a camera in hand, a Purdue cap on his head, and kindness in his heart.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Neidhard-Minges Funeral Home, 10385 New Haven Road, Harrison, OH 45030, followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Queen City Hospice, or St. John Church at Broadway and Sycamore.

June 27, 2025

We are so sorry to hear that our good friend has passed. We did not know until late today. I received a text from Jim Schwartz, but I didn't open it in time. I thought of him often and thought I would try to call, but I never remembered to follow through. I am so sorry, and I will miss his stories and laugh. Steve & Bonnie Pfeiffer
