Larry King Obituary
Larry Lee King, age 74, husband of Susan “Cookie” Oswalt King, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Hospice of Laurens County.
He was born on January 13, 1951 in Clinton, South Carolina. Larry was a former employee of Clinton and Joanna Mills, in Rental Real Estate business and attended Bellview Baptist Church. Larry had a love in playing the drums to beach music and for church bands.
Larry is survived by his wife of 45 years; his son, Jonathan King; his daughter Emily Barnes (Kris); his two grandchildren – the apple of his eye, Avery Barnes and Ava King. He was the last surviving member of 10 children.
In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his 9 siblings.
A Memorial Service will be held at Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 2:00 PM with Mr. Buddy Bridges officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, please honor Larry with memorials to Bellview Baptist Church, 757 Bellview Church Road, Laurens, SC 29360.
