It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce the passing of Larry L. (Pappy) Landry. Born on October 21, 1943 and raised in Jeanerette, Louisiana. He departed this life at the age of 81 on October 12, 2025 surrounded by love, peace and comfort.
Pappy enlisted in the Marines October of 1960. He was stationed at Camp Pendleton where he met the love of his life, Marge. Their union produced 4 children. Pappy had a passion for motorcycles that wasn't just a hobby - it was a way of life. He loved the freedom of the open road, the brotherhood of the ride, and the stories that came with every mile. He loved his zydeco music, fishing, spending time on the houseboat and long boat rides with his family and beloved wife.
Larry (Pappy) is survived by his loving children, Larry "Coon" Landry (Terri), Leon Mark Landry, Lisa Luke (Keith), and Michelle Morris (Todd); his grandchildren, Dennes Bywater (Michael), Beau Morris (Lacey), Dasha Gaudet (Jason), Amanda Freeman (Kemo), Lance Landry, Matthew Landry, Tylar Morris, Shawn Landry (Victoria), and Makenna Louviere (Seth); his great-grandchildren, Bryce Bywater, Gavin Bywater, Collin Morris, A.J. Hebert (Sissy), Koen Gaudet, Brooks Gaudet, Max Gaudet, Adelyn Freeman, Danielle Freeman, Caroline Landry, Kace Louviere, Koen Louviere, Juanita "Chi-Chi" Landry, Eliyanah Landry, and Tinzleigh Landry; his ride or die dog, D-O-G; along with a host of dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Marjorie Ritchie Landry, parents, Leon D. "Jack" Landry and Effie V. Landry. His in-laws, Claude C. Ritchie and Alena Sease Ritchie, as well as his great-grandson, Kannon J. Gaudet.
The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Southern Grace Hospice, his hospice nurse, Megan and all the friends and family that helped make his final days as comfortable as possible.
