Larry was a childhood friend, my brother Pat and I spent many summer days playing with him. Our Dad's helped each other with baling, cutting silage, and more. They were very good friends Dad and Carl. I know Mom and Dorothy fed a lot of people at their respective homes during those summers. One summer in particular sticks out in my mind; we had a bank barn at our place and we would spend hours rolling old tires out the barn door and down the hill. We had a few variations on the game of whos' tire could go the farthest and/or fastest. It was great fun!
