"Larry Lemons was born on September the 6th 1956 in Brooklyn New York to the late Roberta Lemons who preceded him in death. He left this Earth on July 17th 2025. Larry went to the schools in New York. After graduating from Franklin Kay Lane, he worked in a bakery as a young man. Then at Kings County Hospital psych ward for a few years when he decided he wanted to go and live in Canton, Ohio in 1976 with his Uncle James E.Holman, who preceded him in death. He held a few jobs in Ohio: Setion Leather, "The Meat House", and Roofing Local Union 88.
His passion was Martial Arts. He started in Brooklyn, New York in 1965. One of Grandmaster's early memories was shining shoes outside Madison Square Gardens, New York where a tournament was being held with Chuck Norris receiving a plaque for Grandmasters' Hall Of Fame. As a child, he was hoping someday to do martial arts himself. Grandmaster accomplished that dream. From competing in tournaments himself to owning his own school "Lemon's Disciplined School of Taekwondo". Grandmaster received many awards throughout his career from Outstanding service awards to Hall of Fame in Taekwondo. He was loved by his many students he has taught all the years.
Larry leaves to cherish his memories: his soul mate, Miss Helen (Crowell); son, Kolin O'neil Boyd; sister, Linda Lemons of Brooklyn; brother, Nathan Lemons ( Erma) of Florida; sister and brother-in-law, Veronica and Virgil Yacklin of Minerva Ohio, Aunt Sarah Holmon of North Carolina; God brother, Gary Whitehurst of Brooklyn; God-daughter, Diana Laubacher, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
