Larry Wayne Mahan

Larry Wayne Mahan, age 70, of Mt. Vernon, Texas passed away on August 15, 2023, in Mount Pleasant,
Texas following a short fight with cancer. He was born January 18, 1953, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late
Donald Wayne Mahan and Estelle Gatlin Mahan.
He enjoyed metal working and making hunting knives. He was a skilled welder and metal worker that amazed everyone with his works of art. Larry enjoyed listening to country music and was very passionate about his dogs and horses. His family was the center of his world and he loved to spend time with them. A man of God, a love for his country,
and a devoted family man is only the beginning of how to describe Larry Mahan.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Estelle Mahan; sister Karen Kilgore.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Rhonda Mahan; sons, Ryan Mahan and wife Jill, Jason
Mahan and wife Kelsi; daughters Karrie Roberts, Kristi Mahan and husband Matt Pellicer; sister Donna
Northum and husband James; nine grandchildren, one great grandchild and numerous nieces and
nephews.
