Larry Lee Parlette, 68, of Celebration, Florida passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. He was born in Homestead, Florida the 2nd of 6 children to Gordon and Virginia Parlette, who preceded him in death. Larry was a proud veteran of the United States Army, though his active service was cut short with an accident that left him wheelchair bound for the remainder of his life, he rarely let that slow him down. He had a passion for travel, history, the Oregon Ducks Football team, and Disney. Krista Beardsley of Coulee City Washington, along with her 3 kids, joined in on his life's adventures when they married on October 3, 2004. Larry and Krista called Creswell, Oregon home for most of their years, while adding a snowbird home in Celebration, Florida 10 years ago. When not traveling around the world Larry could be found enjoying any spot of heat while reading a good book, listening to his history shows, watching a good old western, or best of all spoiling his new grandkids when they came to visit.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Krista, step children and grandchildren: Rachel, married to Jared Schaefer with Everett and Ellowyn, Robert, married to Ellie Shepler with Bodhi and Blake, and Raleigh, married to Zach Bailey, with Karla.

Additionally he is survived by all his siblings and his beloved nieces and nephews. Brothers: Lynn married to Gayle Parlette, Layne married to Elaine Parlette. Sisters: LeaAnne married to Bill Richter, Lisa married to Curt Chambless, and Lora married to Steve Granger.

Family and friends will miss Larry most for his ability to throw a great party. Some of the best were the 4th of July backyard BBQ's that often rolled over to his birthday celebration the next day. He always made sure there was good food, a fridge filled with Yingling and old time soda, and a big happy welcome to the kids coming through the door. Uncle Larry, eventually Gramps, always loved to give out a good nickname for every kid that grew up running around playing while the football or poker game went on.

An Oregon Duck alumni and season ticket holder for over 30 years Larry was always generous with his invites to join him at the game, especially if it was someone's first time. Decked out in his Ducks gear you'd see him with a mustard ONLY hotdog and a coke cheering on his team.

As someone larger than life, Larry loved his family and friends as much as they loved him, his absence will be felt. We love you Larry

Memorial and Burial Service will be held Friday, October 3, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Willamette National Cemetery, Oregon, where his parents are laid to rest.
