Larry J. Powers, 81, passed away on August 13, 2025 at the Reading Hospital. He was the devoted husband of Katherine (Hlatky) Powers. They shared 25 years of love, laughter and wonderful memories.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Eugene and June (Hodgkins) Powers. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1962, and attended McCann's School of Business. Larry also proudly served in the United States Air Force.
Larry was a member of Advent Lutheran Church in West Lawn, and enjoyed attending Sunday Worship. He was also an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, and never missed a game. In his younger years, he enjoyed golfing, and traveling with Kathy and their friends. He loved seeing his children and grandchildren, and making special memories.
In addition to Katherine, Larry's memory will be cherished by his children: Sean Powers (Tracy), Bradley Klick (Jennifer), Erin Farrar (Arron), and Heather Snyder; his 10 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren; as well as his brothers: Robert Powers and Michael Powers.
The Celebration of Larry's life will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Ave, West Reading, PA 19611, with entombment to follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. Family and friends may begin to gather from 10 a.m. until the beginning of the service.
Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading, is honored to serve Larry's family. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.

I worked with Larry on Conrail's Harrisburg Division. Ran into him at a few local high school football games. He was a pleasure to work with.
