Constantinos D. Zeppos

Constantinos D. ("Gust") Zeppos of Schaefferstown, PA, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025, at the age of 91.

A great cook and gardener, Gust's passion for food started at an early age, when he immigrated to America from Vlahokerasia, Greece, at the young age of 15. His career in food service began at the Crystal

Restaurant and then at the Chat A While Inn in Reading, PA. His restaurant legacy began with the purchase of the Eat Well Diner on 9 th Street in Lebanon. He continued his love of cooking when he moved the Eat Well Diner to East Cumberland St. in Lebanon, with his father, Demosthenes, and his brother, Peter. Known for its enormous menu and classic juke boxes, he and his brother operated the Diner for over 40 years.

Upon his retirement, he eventually moved in with his youngest daughter, Magdalene. He continued his love of food with his bountiful garden, where he took joy in sharing his vegetables with the entire

neighborhood.

Gust is survived by his daughter, Laura Zeppos, Lebanon; son John Zeppos, Schaefferstown; daughter Magdalene Zeppos-Brown, wife of Larry Brown, Schaefferstown; and brother, Alex Zeppos, Reading. He is

also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by siblings John, Taso, Georgos, Georgia, Martha, George and Peter. He was also predeceased by his wife, Nancy Zeppos.

Services will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 11 AM at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 1001 E. Wyomissing Blvd., Wyomissing PA 19611, with burial to follow at Charles Evans Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Church.
