Mableton, GA - Larry Clifton Rogers, a cherished father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 6, 2025, at the age of 84. Born in Ashville, NC, on November 1, 1940, Larry led a life defined by creativity, service, and love for his family.
Larry's passion for the arts led him to attend art school, where he honed his skills in fine art and photography, leaving behind many photographic memories that his family will forever cherish.
Before embarking on his professional journey, Larry proudly served his country for four years in the Air Force. His dedication to service and country was a testament to his character and commitment.
He was a man of varied interests. He found joy in raising fish, cheering on his favorite NASCAR drivers, and spending quiet evenings watching TV. These hobbies brought him peace and happiness throughout his life.
Larry is survived by his loving family, including his brother Dale Rogers, sister Elaine Langley, daughter Erica Morris and her husband Andy, and son Mitchell Story. His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren: Jeffery George, Jonathan Morris, Christina Daniel, Jackie Story, Brittany Morris, CJ Paris, and Zachary Morris, along with 15 great-grandchildren. Larry's family was his greatest pride, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Clifton Rogers and Beatrice Rogers, his beloved wife Carolyn Rogers, his daughter Ronda Paris, and grandsons Clifton Paris and Casey Story. Their memories will be forever cherished in his heart.
Arrangements are entrusted to Roy Davis Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on Sunday, January 12, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by a chapel service. Larry will be laid to rest at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens, where his spirit will find eternal peace.
Larry Clifton Rogers will be remembered for his artistic talent, dedication to family, and gentle spirit. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
