Larry Dean Soares

Larry Dean Soares, born on November 3, 1952, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024. Larry's warmth, humility, and dedication to family and community left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Soares and brother-in-law, Thomas Wallen. He is survived by his devoted mother, Josephine Soares; his beloved wife, Loretta Soares; his sons, Gregg Soares (Heather) and Timothy Joseph "TJ" Soares (Carrie); and his cherished grandchildren, Hannah, Landon, and Blake. Larry also leaves behind his siblings: Erma Heilman (John), Dan Soares (Debbie), Walter Soares (Sharon), Dennis Soares (Lorrie), Patsy Bettencourt (Gary), and Nancy Wallen, as well as a large extended family of nieces and nephews who will forever treasure his memory.
Larry spent his formative years on a dairy farm, where he began milking cows alongside his father and brothers at an early age. His upbringing instilled in him a profound appreciation for hard work and a commitment to family. As a young man, he served as President of his local FFA chapter, a role that reflected his passion for the agriculture industry-a passion that stayed with him throughout his life.
Larry will be remembered as a humble, kind, and caring man who was always ready to lend a helping hand. Whether assisting his neighbors with lawn care, or maintaining his mother's lawn, he was a steadfast presence in the lives of those around him.
The loss of Larry leaves a profound void in the hearts of his family and friends. His legacy of kindness and dedication to others will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Viewing will be held at Allen Mortuary on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 5:00-7:00p.m.
Services to honor Larry's life will be held at St. Mary's Church on Thursday, January 9, 2024 at 10 am, located at 2809 Railroad Ave, Stevinson, CA 95374.
