Larry Denton Stine, age 87, of Greencastle, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Meritus Medical Center. Born July 4, 1938, in Greencastle, PA he was the son of the late Samuel David and Helen Mae Goetz Stine.
Mr. Stine served honorably in the United States Air Force from 1956-1960. He went on to work at Landis Tool Company, Nitterhouse Concrete and lastly at Mack Truck from 1977 until his retirement in 2005. Mr. Stine was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, Greencastle, PA; Greencastle Sportsman’s Association; NRA; and WACA. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed collecting Native American artifacts.
Surviving is his wife of 51 years, Mary L. Dujmic Stine, whom he married on June 29, 1974; three children, Larry D. Stine II (wife Missy Taylor Stine) of Chambersburg, PA, Sharon E. Stine Neff (husband Shawn Neff) of Martinsburg, WV, and Matthew D. Stine (wife Amy Carbaugh Stine) of Mercersburg, PA; eight grandchildren, Sarah and Rowan Stine; Karli, Violet, Carter and Cora Neff; and Kyla and Ellie Stine; and one great-granddaughter, Leia Gradias; and nieces and nephews, Wesley David Stine, Carla Johnson and Penny Misiak; David and Michael Banks; Jennifer Esposito, Thelma Reibsome and Annie Shockey; Alease Herubin, Harrison Gardler and Margaret Aull. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Darwyn Eugene Stine.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated later in the Spring at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, Greencastle, PA with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M.
