Larry R. Stitt, Sr., 83, of Hermitage, passed away Friday morning, December 19, 2025, in Quality Life Services, Mercer.

Mr. Stitt was born on July 12, 1942, in Rimersburg, PA, a son of the late Ralph E. and Catherine (Petrycki) Stitt. He was a 1961 graduate of Slippery Rock High School.

He spent his working career in publishing, beginning at the Allied News in Grove City, PA, before going to the “Herald,” where he retired with more than 30 years of service as a printer.

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at his family camp in southern Clarion County, where many special memories were shared, with many successful hunting experiences.

Larry was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Post 805, Greenville; and the Clarion County Rod and Gun Club of Knox, PA.

He is survived by five children, Larry Stitt, Jr. and his wife, Gerri, Bill Stitt and his wife, Mary, Tammy Armstrong and her husband, Dave, Jodie Erme and her husband, Jim, and Michael Stitt; 12 grandchildren, Lindsay McNamara and her husband, David, Zack Armstrong, Becca Bennett and her husband, Sean, Chelsea Orlosky and her husband, Steve, Rachel Lynch and her husband, Jeff, Elizabeth Roney and her husband, Randall, Molly Destefano and her husband, Vinny, Zoe Erme, Abbie Erme, Jacob Stitt, Haylee Erme, and Lucas Stitt; and 13 great-grandchildren, Grant, Rosalie, Geno, Anna, Max, Brody, Sofia, Oakley, Jonathan, Micah, Colton, Cooper and Emilia. Also surviving is a brother, Kenneth Stitt and his wife, Genevieve.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley (Stitt) Wayland.

In keeping with Larry’s wishes, there are no services.
