Born on January 24th, 1950, in Norman, OK, David was the backbone of his family.
Guided by his loyalty and devotion to his wife Layne, David was regarded as a natural born leader who always said his greatest achievement was raising his twin boys Brigham John Trapp & James David Trapp. Known for his wisdom, David was famous for his 'life lessons'.
David coached his boys in swimming, soccer, and basketball, and was an avid fisherman. He most enjoyed fishing with his beloved grandson Rusk James Trapp on the Texas coast. David was supremely proud of his daughter in-laws Monica Denise Trapp and Rebecca Jane Trapp, and was always there to lend a helping hand and to provide guidance.
Beyond his distinguished professional career in the business forms industry, David proudly served in the United States Air Force, embodying a sense of commitment and duty that resonated deeply within him.
David is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Sarah Layne Trapp, son Brigham John Trapp & wife Rebecca Jane Trapp (grandson Rusk James Trapp), and son James David Trapp & wife Monica Denise Trapp.
A private family & friends memorial service will be held in honor of David Trapp on February 1st, 2025, at 11:00am at the Ebensberger Fisher Funeral Home in Boerne, TX.
