Larry Gene Twitchell

Larry Gene Twitchell, 77, of Mogadore, passed away peacefully at his home on January 31, 2026. He was born in Ravenna on May 12, 1948 to the late Carroll and Ardis {Wertenberger} Twitchell.

Larry is survived by his loving son, Vince Twitchell; step-son Brian (Julie) McElhiney; grandchildren Benjamin and Kaelynne Twitchell, Meghan and Molly McElhiney; lifelong friends Sharon and Carl Ebie.

Larry was a proud veteran of the United States Army. After his honorable discharge, he began a career in the automotive and tooling industries, retiring from SGS Tool.

Larry was a dedicated father, and worked hard to make sure Vince was always cared for. He loved to be out on the road, riding his motorcycle.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Tuesday, February 10th from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Well-deserved military honors will follow at Restland Cemetery in Brimfield, where Larry will be laid to rest.
