Larry Dean Waterhouse, 86, passed away on September 29, 2025 in Phoenix, Arizona.
Larry was born in Burlington, Iowa on April 18, 1939 to Miles and Marilee Waterhouse. He was the eldest of two children with a younger sister Mary Ann. He went to college at the University of Iowa and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art's. During his time in college, he developed a love for creating abstract oil paintings. Over his life he created many oil paintings, watercolor paintings and character drawings for family and friends.
He pursued a career in architectural and landscape design where many of his renderings were used for homes, cabins, local businesses and parks. Towards the end of his career he enjoyed teaching Architectural Drafting and Landscape Design at Glendale Community College.
Larry married Judy Timmer in 1965. Larry and Judy's 60th wedding anniversary was on September 4th, 2025.
Larry is survived by his wife, children, Trent (Cheryl), Darren (Brandy), grandchildren, Silky (Jason), Camden, Jemarique, great granddaughter, Symone, niece's Rochelle, Marzale and many extended family members.
Services will be held in Phoenix, Arizona on October 29, 11 am at St Joseph Catholic Church, 11001 N 40th St, Phoenix, AZ 85028
Additional Services for his final resting place will be held in Wapello, Iowa at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association Desert Southwest Chapter (https://www.alz.org/dsw).
