Duane Hendrickson, 62, Lake Park, MN, died Monday, January 27, 2025, in his home.
Duane Keith Hendrickson was born to Kermit and Charlotte (Anderson) Hendrickson on April 14, 1962, in Detroit Lakes, MN. He grew up on the family farm. He was baptized and confirmed at Lake Park Lutheran Church. He attended school in Lake Park and graduated from Lake Park High School with the class of 1981. Lars was involved in football and wrestling and was an assistant coach for wrestling. He enjoyed volunteering his time at many events including wrestling tournaments and activities at the Lake Park American Legion. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and motorcycling. He was a fan of the LPA Raiders and Minnesota Vikings, watching them with family and friends on T.V. He loved all sports and spending time with friends and family, playing cards and bingo and going to the casinos. Lars also enjoyed traveling to Arizona and he took cruises to Alaska with his mom.
Lars worked different jobs over the years. He was currently working for Prairie Scale Systems Inc. of Horace, ND, a job he held for over 30 years.
Surviving Lars are his four brothers: Ronald (Mary), Lake Park, Darwin (Cindy), Frazee, MN, Owen, Lake Park and Kevin (Mel Thomas), Lake Park; two sisters, Julie (Randy Boyer) Hendrickson, Audubon, MN and Darla (Ken) Maves, Frazee; 8 nieces and nephews and 10 great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kermit and Charlotte Hendrickson, and sister, Ilo Hendrickson.
He will be deeply missed by all.
The family will host a Celebration of Life at the American Legion in Lake Park, MN on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M.
