Lars Kruse Obituary
Born on May 15, 1950, in Aarhus, Denmark, to Aksel and Jytte Kruse, Lars immigrated to the United States at the age of three. He was a proud graduate of UIC Circle Campus, earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. After college, Lars joined the family profession and worked as an electrician with Local Union 701 IBEW until his retirement in 2012.
Lars filled his life with music-singing and playing alongside his family-and wrote many beautiful songs about his faith, Christmas, and love for his wife. He was kind to everyone, always laughing, and a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. He will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aksel and Jytte Kruse. Lars is survived by his beloved wife, Constance (Thorgesen) Kruse; his daughters, Alyssa Kruse and Kiersten Kruse; and his siblings Paul (Irene) Kruse, Christine (James) Putong, Susan (Jonathan) Brown, and Cathy (Michael) Mathiesen.
Services will be held on December 18 at The Healy Chapel in Sugar Grove, with visitation from 1:00–3:00 p.m., concluding with a funeral service starting at 3 p.m.
