Latricia Tornette Norman opened her eyes for the first time on April 8, 1976, in Norwalk Hospital, Norwalk, Connecticut, and Latricia, closed her eyes peaceably in silence on April 15, 2022 at her home in Graham, North Carolina. Latricia will be forever missed by her son, Michael A. Norman, her mother, Mary Lofton-Soley, her father, Ray A. Fulton, her brother Rashon L. Lofton, her sister Melissa A. Smith, and her sister Shenee N. Lofton and also, three (3) nieces and one (1) nephew, and so many aunts, uncles, and cousins, too many to name. Michael Wimberly, with whom she shared the last ten (10) years. We will all miss her uniqueness in life.
THOU NOW O SOUL. "DAREST thou now O soul, Walk out with me toward the unknown region, Where neither ground is for the feet nor any path to follow? No map there, nor guide, Nor voice sounding, nor touch of human hand, Nor face with blooming flesh, nor lips, nor eyes, are in that land. I know it not O soul, Nor dost thou, all is a blank before us, All waits undream'd of in that region, that inaccessible land. Till when the ties loosen, All but the ties eternal, Time and Space, Nor darkness, gravitation, sense, nor any bounds bounding us. Then we burst forth, we float, In Time and Space O soul, prepared for them, Equal, equipt at last, (O joy! O fruit of all!) them to fulfil O soul." By Walt Whitman
Latricia's life will be celebrated by family and friends on May 1, 2022, from 1 pm until 8 pm at West Point on Eno Park 5101 N Roxboro St, Durham, NC 27704 Masks are to be worn and social distancing required at all meetings with family and friends.
