Laura was born on December 17, 1939 to the late James Glenn and Veda Evelyn (Cain) Brown in East Chicago, Indiana.
Laura got an associate degree from North Central State College. Over the years, she worked as a waitress, a CNA and an office worker for Red Cross.
She enjoyed reading her Bible and going to church, Lennox Road Baptist Church. She also enjoyed playing solitaire, shopping, crocheting, and watching Cubs baseball. She loved spending time with her family and crafting with the grandkids. Laura will truly be missed by family and friends.
Those who will cherish her memories include her children: Laura (Shawn) Hendrickson of Shelby, Ohio and Chuck (Jessica) Sprague of Mansfield, Ohio; her grandchildren: Hannah Hendrickson, Hunter Sprague, Mason Hendrickson, Evan Hendrickson, Grace Hendrickson, Jase Sprague, Emersyn Sprague, Justin Nance, Kayla Nance and Grant Nance; her two great grandchildren; and her brothers: Bob Brown of Indiana and Ed (Diane) Brown of Florida, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bill Milhoan; her sons: Cooper Nance and Ben Nance; her sisters: Margie Clark and Wanda Crumpton; and her brothers: Jim Brown, Orval 'Buck' Brown and Dallas Brown.
Friends and family may come to honor Laura's life from 11am to 1pm on Monday, January 20, 2025 at Barkdull Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow starting at 1pm at the funeral home with Pastor Ben Carver officiating. A burial service will follow the funeral at Oakland Cemetery in Shelby, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be given in Laura's memory to: Childrens Hopechest, P.O. Box 1190, Palmer Lake, Colorado, 80133.
