Laura Noon

Laura Munoz Noon, age 55, a resident of Aurora, IL and formerly of Naperville, IL, passed
away on September 14, 2025. She was born on July 15, 1970 in Elmhurst, IL.
Laura is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Scott Noon; her children, Adam and
Chloe Noon; her father, Mark Munoz; her sister, Kim (Jim) Rommen; her mother-in-law,
Karen LaCotte. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Munoz, and her father-in-
law, Bob (Mary) Noon.
Laura earned her undergraduate degree from Western Illinois University and her Master's
Degree at National Lewis University. She began teaching first grade at Oak View
Elementary School, Bolingbrook. She then worked at Beverly Skoff Elementary School,
Romeoville, as Assistant Principal then Principal. Since 2015, Laura was the Principal at
Highlands Elementary School, Naperville. She devoted her life to children, her staff and the
communities she served. Laura was generous in her time and talents and will be
remembered for her dedication to education.
Beyond her many gifts to the community, her greatest joy and proudest role was that of wife
and mother. Laura was a devoted partner to Scott, with whom she built a life filled with
love, laughter and unwavering support. She was a nurturing, encouraging, and selfless
mother to Adam and Chloe, teaching them through example the values of compassion,
perseverance, and generosity.
Her generosity knew no bounds. She gave not only of her time and resources, but also of
her heart. Whether guiding colleagues, comforting friends, or supporting her community,
Laura lived a life dedicated to others. She believed deeply in the power of kindness, and
her legacy will continue in the countless lives she touched.
Laura was a long time, active member of Our Lady of Mercy Church, Aurora. It was her
deep faith and belief in God that got her through her most trying times.
In lieu of flowers, it was Laura's wish to donate school supplies to Oak View Elementary

at Our Lady of Mercy Church on Thursday, September 18th.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 18, 9:00-10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 701
S. Eola Rd., Aurora. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM. Internment will follow
at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Naperville
