Laura E. Wuebbels, age 97, of Germantown, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Evercare of Breese. She was born October 6, 1927, in Germantown, a daughter of the late Herman F. and Josephine A. (nee Albers) Robke.

In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert B. "Cotton" Wuebbels, whom she married June 19, 1946, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown and who died November 2, 2009; daughter, Colette Wuebbels; siblings, Paul (Dorothy) Robke, Pete (Marcella "Nordy") Robke, Raymond Robke (infancy), Amanda (Vince) Kohnen, Adella (Vic Wuebbels) (Frank Welch) Welch, and Rose Mary Robke (infancy); parents-in-law, Frank and Josephine (nee Vosholler) Wuebbels; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Alois (Leona) Wuebbels, Frank (Marie) Wuebbels, Melvin (Francelia) Wuebbels, Alvin (Frances) Wuebbels, Jean (Gus) Pflugmacher, Ella (Ed Hammel) (Harry Nagel) Nagel, and Leona Wuebbels.

Laura is survived by her children, Donna (Ron) Unterreiner of Kirkwood, MO, Marvin (Robbie) Wuebbels of Carlyle, and Jeff (Karen) Wuebbels of Germantown; grandchildren, Courtney (Sumi) Ghosh, Kari (David) Baker, Ryan (Emmy) Unterreiner, Aaron (Amanda Saunders) Unterreiner, Michelle (Sean) Tomazzoli, Melissa (David) Grapperhaus, Josh (Mandy) Wuebbels, Danielle Koerkenmeier, Trisha (Cory) Cross, Dewal (Allyssa Kliene) Wuebbels; twenty-four great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Laura formerly worked at Brueggemann Drapery and was the owner/operator of Sew New Rod and Drapery in Germantown. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown and cochaired the raffle committee at the church picnic with her husband, Cotton for many years. Laura enjoyed sewing, quilting, and baking.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, October 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown with Fr. Thomas Lugge and Fr. James Buerster concelebrating. In keeping with the family's wishes, there will be no visitation or receiving line before the Mass of Christian Burial and an interment will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to St. Boniface Cemetery or Germantown Historical Society and will be received at the Mass or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St., Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
